Base64 encode chart image
Description
Specifies if the chart image should be base64 encoded. (Not supported in all browsers).
Base64 encoding essentially takes binary data and converts it into ASCII. For more on Base64 you can reference this Wikipedia page. Here is an Xbasic example using Base64 encoding and decoding. The 64base encoding allows you to turn a blob into a string and a string into a blob without losing any data.
dim blob as b blob.resize(50) blob.pokew(1,23) blob.pokew(30,88) blob.pokec(3,"Hello World") ? blob.dump("A") = "..Hello World................X.................... " ? blob.peekw(1) = 23 ? blob.peekw(30) = 88 dim txt as c = base64encode(blob) ? txt = "FwBIZWxsbyBXb3JsZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA=" dim blob2 as b = base64decode(txt) ? blob2.dump("A") = "..Hello World................X.................... " ? blob2.peekw(1) = 23 ? blob2.peekw(30) = 88
