Active Users

Applications that use the Security Framework often need to know which users are currently logged in. Tracking “logged in” state alone is unreliable because users may be logged out by inactivity (session expiration) without a logout event firing. It is more practical to track active users.

Defining Security Settings

An overview on how to define security settings and a list of properties.

Login Security Recovery Questions Dialog

The Login Security Recovery Questions dialog allows you to define user questions that will help confirm a user's identity. The Lost Data Recovery Options > Security Questions on the Security Settings dialog calls the Login Security Recovery Questions dialog.

Password Validation Dialog

The Password Validation dialog defines the rules for accepting or rejecting a password. Refer to Setting Web Control Validation Rules for more information.

Security Setting Server cache lifetime

The Server cache lifetime defines how long to hold security settings for an application before deleting them.
