- Advanced Buttons
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Xdialog/Controls/Buttons/Advanced Buttons.xml
In using Xdialog it is sometimes necessary to format buttons. Often you will want to put bitmaps on buttons, combine bitmaps and text, and set the text on a button dynamically.
- Split Buttons
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/UX/Controls/Other Controls/Button/Split Buttons.xml
Split buttons are comprised of one button divided into two parts. This arrangement provides
users the option of running an action or selecting the action to run.
- Combining Text and Bitmaps on Buttons
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Xdialog/Controls/Buttons/Combining Text and Bitmaps on Buttons.xml
It is often desirable to create a button with both text and a bitmap on the button. To mix text and an image on a button, you specify a special 'owner-draw' specification directive in the button's format specification.
- Search Bar Type
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/Grid/Grid Properties/Alphabet Buttons and Custom Buttons' Search/Search Bar Type.xml
Defines the search bar type. The search bar can be an Alphabet Button Bar or a Custom Button Bar.
- Navigation Buttons
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/UX/Controls/Props/panel/Navigation Buttons/index.xml
Navigation Buttons help users move between the different defined panels in a Panel Navigator. The Navigation
Buttons properties allow you to determine whether a 'Next', 'Previous', and/or 'Back' button should be included in the
Navigator. These properties then allow you to assign the pre-defined button in the Navigator's header or footer that
should carry out the given navigation task.
- Smart Buttons
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/Data/DBF/Smart Buttons.xml
You will see many smart buttons in Alpha Anywhere. Smart buttons can directly accept input, like any other type-in text control, but they also have built-in functions to help you along. One example is a File-select 'open folder' smart button in the Append Builder.
