VERSION Function

Syntax

String as C = VERSION([C format])

Arguments

format

Optional. A character string that specifies the information to return. Values for Flag are:"V" = Version number (e.g. "5") "B" = Build number (e.g. "765") "E" = Edition (e.g. "Developers Edition", "Runtime", "Trial" etc.) (Not supported for V9 and above. Use a5_is_runtime()) "U" = Number of users licensed to use the product "K" = Serial number

Description

VERSION() returns the version number and other information about Alpha Anywhere. If flag is NULL, returns the major version number. E.g "5".

?version("V")
= "6.0" 

V9 and above:
To determine if the Runtime or Run Engine is running.
?a5_is_runtime()
= .F.

Flags 

ON Operating System name (e.g. "Windows XP")

OV Operating System Version Number (e.g. "5.1")

OB Operating System Build Number (e.g. "2600")

OS Operating System Service Pack (e.g. "3.0")

OP Platform (Workstation, or Server)
