Javascript - cacheError

Description

Fires if there was an error loading the Application Cache. If an error occurs, the UX Component will not be rendered.

Discussion

An error will occur if any of the cache files do not exist. You can use this event to display an alert telling the user that there is a problem and the app will not load. The example below displays an error in a div defined in a Static Text control with the id APPCACHE_DOWNLOAD_ERROR.

Example

var ele = $('APPCACHE_DOWNLOAD_ERROR');
ele.style.display = '';
ele.innerHTML = 'Error: Cache was not loaded. ';
To use this example in your own UX Component, you must add a div with the ID APPCACHE_DOWNLOAD_ERROR to the component. This can be done using the Static Text control. The Static Text control can be found in the Other Controls section.
