Error style
Description
Specify how field validation errors should be displayed.
Discussion
Validation errors can be displayed next to the field where the error occurs, as a popup when mousing over a field or error icon, or grouped together in a single location. Some styles are not recommended depending on the type of layout used for the controls in the Detail View. Alpha Anywhere will display a warning message when the error style chosen is not recommended. Error messages can be shown using one of the following options:
- Display Style
- Description
- block
Error is shown under the field.
- inline
Error is shown next to the field.
- tip
Error is shown in a popup window when the mouse cursor hovers over the field
- icon
Error is shown in a popup window when the mouse cursor hovers over an error icon.
- global
All errors are shown in one location, usually as a block of text at the above the Detail View.
